The Classic Ghost Stories Podcast started in September 2019, aiming to be in time for Halloween.
The Classic Ghost Stories Podcast has grown from strength to strength over the last few years and now hits around 14000 listens a week as an audio podcast served via Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher and others.
In 2020 the The Classic Ghost Stories Podcast YouTube channel experienced a surge in growth until it is just shy of 20,000 subscribers with around 150,0000 views a month.
As the name suggests The Classic Ghost Stories Podcast serves up classic stories which vary from Victorian and Edwardian ghost stories of Mrs Gaskell, Amelia B Edwards, M R James and E F Benson, Edith Wharton, Rudyard Kipling and others, to 20th Century masterpieces by Daphne du Maurier and Shirley Jackson, and more modern horror stories such as Clive Barker, Ramsay Campbell and Stephen King to the cosmic horror of H P Lovecraft, Frank Belknap Long. and Clark Ashton Smith,
This growth has been amazing and extraordinary for something that started as a hobby for Tony Walker and has now become a life.
